i got my petti at a op-shop for $7:50 under another poofy skirt, which i took the tule out of to provide layers i could put in as the poof started to go. eventually i plan to replace all the tule with organza. sorry for the bad picture.

My first Submission

Jumper & hair bow: hand made (because i am really broke)

fabric: Print 5$ a yard, used 5 yards. Lining 2$ a yard used 4 yards.(purchsed using a gift card from jhoanns)

Shoes: gift from target 23$ (i think)

Stockings: 10$ from target.

Yo can also get a lot of nice tights and socks at Primark. I only know the german prices but they have lacy tights and ankle socks like I wear in this picture

for 3€ (~3,70$) and for 2€ (~2,50$) (in the sale you might get them for 1€ (~1,25$) as well!)

For ankle socks I also suggest the H&M children’s section, they sometimes have them there in white and pink (as a set) for 2,95€

bespectacledbibliophile asked: In response to the anon who asked about thrift stores, I have a couple of tips. One, shop early and often; good items at cheap prices aren't easy to find unless you browse the inventory semi-frequently (I'm a once every two weeks person, myself). Two, stop during the high-volume times. The end of the summer garage sales and just after Christmas mean the stores (especially charity shops) have lots of stuff being donated and price their inventory to get it out quickly.

This is more natural kei than lolita, but I wanted to show you guys this lovely dress I got for $16 yesterday at an antique store. ^ u ^
